Remote Diagnostics and Management Application

Electronics Line 3000's Remote Diagnostics and Maintenance (RDM) software enables advanced maintenance, operation, and programming of various Electronics Line 3000 control systems.

The RDM software suite provides a comprehensive interface to the control panels, offers remote maintenance, facilitates programming, cuts down on time spent on-site and provides a secure customer database for the installers and customer care personnel.

The RDM suite consists of two user interfaces, the RDM Administration web interface, and the RDM Remote Programmer interface that enables programming control panel parameters from a remote location. The most valuable features of the RDM system is the ability to create jobs and distribute them to a group of control panels in one action; and the option to program the control panel to call the RDM independently and enquire about jobs to be carried out. All these options are indented to save you time spent on on-location programming and multiple maintenance activities.
The RDM comprises of four major components without which the system cannot function correctly.

The main components of the system are:

  • Database Server – implements MySQL. All data used in the RDM system is saved in the database located in the DB Server. The DB contains default data at installation.
  • Communication Server – manages the modems used for two-way communication to and from the RDM System.
  • RDM Administration interface – the Web interface that enables you to manage the RDM System. Allows you easy access to common administrative tasks such as customer and control panel management, job monitoring and general system usage log editing.
  • RDM Remote Programmer – is the Windows application used to program control panels and carry out maintenance activities.

System Architecture
The DB and the Communication Servers are responsible for the background operation of the entire system. The RDM Administration and the RDM RP are the applications that enable managing customers and programming control systems. All these components are necessary for the RDM system to function correctly. Additionally, monitoring and programming of security systems can be performed from a PC via a Local Area Network connection.
