Electronics Line 3000 Application Server
The Electronics Line 3000 Application Server (ELAS), is a fully redundant 24/7 dedicated application server. The ELAS is the central component of a virtual network which connects end users, service providers and monitoring stations to control panels while managing all data transactions. Implementing secure TCP/IP network connectivity, the ELAS provides high-speed central station reporting.
This dedicated server ensures a high level of secure IP communications while routing information according to pre-defined parameters. All transactions are indirect and managed through the ELAS, while control systems respond only to recognized applications (via the ELAS) using high-level encryption and enhanced authentication methods including SSL3 supported by all IIS modules.
The Electronics Line Application Server (ELAS) and Proxy Server (ELPX) offer a unique service platform for the delivery of a wide array of revenue generating supplementary services, including device monitoring and control, medical monitoring, management, security and damage prevention. The Application Server also enables users and providers to benefit from a customizable web user interface which provides a platform for configuration, control and monitoring by end-users.
The ELAS handles and manages communications between security systems installed at users’ homes and multiple alarm monitoring service providers. The dedicated ELPX mediates between the ELAS and the central monitoring station’s system by converting signals from the home or office into traditional security protocols In addition to event reporting, the ELAS also enables programming and controlling security systems via the web by means of dedicated web applications and utilities for both providers and end-users.

Interactive Web User Interface
The Electronics Line Application Server offers an interactive web user interface for on-line system control by end-users. On-line remote system management features include activating the system and home automation functionalities, defining user codes, conducting status checks, defining alerts settings and destinations, as well as viewing, saving and printing event logs and more.
Providers may brand the web user interface according to their own look & feel and utilize the interface as a marketing platform for advertising and targeted marketing messages.
Main System Components
- ELAS – application server responsible for connection between end-users’ control systems and service providers, system management, and data transfer.
- Security solutions (infinite Prime Broadband, iConnect GPRS and iConnect Broadband) – security control systems with LAN or GPRS connection.
- ELPX – a proxy server which mediates between the ELAS and alarm monitoring systems.
The control systems, installed at the home or business of subscribers, provide an interface to a wide range of encrypted wireless peripherals and household appliances. Control systems then communicate with the ELAS via a broadband or GPRS connection to the Internet.
Event messages are forwarded to a proxy server located at the monitoring service’s central station. Backup communication is provided via PSTN to a traditional receiver at the monitoring service. Both the proxy server and PSTN receiver forward events to the central station’s management software application.
Additionally, monitoring, control and programming of the security system can be performed from a PC with an Internet connection.
The Electronics Line Application Server includes:
- Web Administration Application is the main user interface with the ELAS. It can be accessed from a standard Web browser (Internet Explorer version 5.0 and above with JavaScript support). In addition to event routing to users and monitoring services, the ELAS also provides status notifications to the administrator via email.
The Web Administration Application offers the following features:
- Web Administration and Web RP user management
- Service Provider configuration
- Control panel record configuration
- IP camera configuration per control panel
- Web User application customization features
- ELAS configuration features
- Event forwarding email and SMS template editing
- Displays statistics regarding the current status of systems
- Displays database status information
- ELAS Home Automation – for end-user web-based home automation control via the web user interface
- ELAS SMS Event Reporting – for ELAS-based SMS event reporting to end-users
- ELAS Video Look-in – Enable video look-in by end-users via the web user interface and IP cameras installed at the premises
